clock Tony's gift

Clocks:  sometimes clocks mean more than just keeping time.  This is a photo of the clock my oldest son made for me in high school almost 30 years ago.  It doesn’t keep good time anymore, but there is more to it than its function. I admire the timeless design.   I feel the edges of the wood and picture a young man working hard to make something of worth-something to be placed prominently on a shelf in our home.

It is in the guest room now.   The aptly named “Colorado room” has many items in it that we acquired in CO when we lived there years ago.  The clock is placed prominently on the dresser-never telling the correct time-but always a reminder of the time my son presented me with his labor of love.
