movies-logo-1What is your favorite movie?  It seems to be more and more difficult to sort through and separate the good, the bad and the ugly. That’s why I love recommendations.

Like “Game Corner” (, we hope to create a LIST OF MOVIES.  Different categories would be nice: Classics, Modern Movies, Children’s Movies, etc.

BenHur_2221984bMy husband Bob has two favorite classic movies: Ben Hur (1959) and Lawrence of Arabia (1962).  He has memorized most of the dialogue – and, of course, he loves the sound tracks, too.  In Ben Hur the chariot race is remarkable and the battle at sea is riveting, but my favorite scene is when Ben Hur returns to Rome with Consul Quintas Arrias whose life he has saved and they are presented in triumph before Caesar.  Here is 3 min 52 sec clip:”Ben Hur before Tiberius Caesar”  At about the 2 minute mark in the scene, in the midst of so much pageantry, so much over-the-top grandeur, the writers thought it would be amusing to add a bit of comic relief…a moment of subtle humor when the servant presents the scroll to Caesar. If Bob is watching Ben Hur without me (it’s a loooong movie), he will call to me and say, “Your favorite scene is on!”  I know which one it is…

What is your favorite movie?  What is your favorite scene?  We’ll make a list!
