Backyard retreat-The rabbits ate the clematis that should be tumbling over the arch in a colorful celebration of summer-BUT my never fail container gardening looks awesome, if I must say so myself! After years of container gardening with every conceivable combination of vining, trailing, blooming, drooping, standing tall, bushy, compact plants possible, I made a discovery that changed my life. Buy a bunch of boston fern early spring (it is actually too cold here in MN to put them out when they go on sale) at Home Depot-put them in the biggest pot possible and invest heavily in Miracle-Gro. TA-DAAAA! I love they way these look flanking the arch into a little gazebo- doesn't it just beg you to come sit for a while?
