I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of your wonders.
I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing praise to your name,
O Most High.
Remember what happened in Luke 17:11-19. Ten lepers were healed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him.
May it never be said of us, “Was no one found to return and give praise to God?” When we bring our needs and requests to God, our heart is full and our words can be few (“Few Words-Full Heart”) ; but there should never be a lack of words when we praise the Lord for His great love, grace, mercy and blessing.
Whether you wake to a day full of joy or sorrow, always consider that the sun will rise and the sun will set today – that God is still on the throne of heaven. This is God who loves you with an everlasting love. And always be mindful of how God has been near to you in the past – moving in ways great and small.
Today we are praising and thanking God for the babies! When they came home from the hospital, they could fit snugly in this pillow laying side by side. Now it’s time to move on…but never, ever forget the beginning. Lord God, we thank you!
We have all been abundantly blessed. I hope your day will be filled with an attitude of gratitude – no complaining – only a keen awareness that without the Lord, we would be lost and alone. For what are you grateful today? Give the Lord thanksgiving and praise.
