National Love Your Pet Day-an official day set aside to acknowledge the important role our pets play in our lives.  A good reminder to take your dog for a walk, spend a little time grooming them or just sit for a while with them, and tell them they are a good friend to you.  Here are a few examples of how they can stretch our capacity and teach us patience…

Yet, we love them!  39% of us in the US have a dog-33% of us have a cat.  Their companionship is probably the reason we love them, but studies have shown it is good for us.  Pets help us control stress and decrease our blood pressure.  So pet a pooch today-you will be glad you did-it might just make you smile, and the dog will wag his tail knowing he has fulfilled his destiny when he sees that smile come across your face.

And, every so often, we catch a moment like this, and all is right with the world…
