Isaiah 41:10-13
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced;
they shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish.

You shall seek them and not find them – those who contended with you.
Those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing.
For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you,
“Fear not, I will help you.”

What do you fear?  For what are you dismayed?  These special verses are for our iSissies who are struggling right now to be well – those who are dealing with cancer.  We pray for your healing, for your cancer to be a nonexistent thing. These words in Isaiah written thousands of years ago, spoke to me when I had cancer 17 years ago.  How they talk about my enemy being defeated.  And the Lord God holding my right hand with his righteous right hand.  I must think about this to understand the way it portrays God facing me.  So I will face God and focus on His great love for me.

Dear iSissies who are struggling with cancer, we pray for your healing.  We pray for your peace as you walk this journey – we join you and we care.  But more importantly, God cares.

“Almighty God, creator of heaven and earth, thank you for being with me forever.  Thank you for strengthening me and helping me. Thank you for upholding me with your hand of righteousness.  You alone are God and I trust in your love and plan for me to be whole again.  In Jesus name I pray.  Amen.”
