How did you learn the order of the planets in our solar system and that the Earth is the third planet from the sun? I am happy that sometime somewhere a science teacher taught me the mnemonic device “Many very early men just sat under new potatoes” and I have never forgotten Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. I’m sure there was a picture in the science book showing their orbits. Good information and sufficient explanation for starters; but today with the wonders of technology, we can all have a greater grasp and humble appreciation for the absolute wonders of the universe and the planet in which we have our abode.
How can this possibly happen without collisions?
Lesson learned: iSissies, when life is spinning and you don’t feel anything is in control, think about the way our very existence happens in what appears to be ordered chaos. Step back a moment and understand all is not lost. Your life has meaning and purpose. Look and you will find order in the chaos.
“It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it.
My own hands stretched out the heavens;
I marshaled their starry hosts.” ~ Isaiah 45:12
