Ever heard of James Thomson? A Scottish poet who lived from September 11, 1700 – August 27, 1748. One of his quotes I really like is:
I know no subject more elevating, more amazing, more ready to the poetical enthusiasm, the philosophical reflection, and the moral sentiment than the works of nature. Where can we meet such variety, such beauty, such magnificence?
You kind of have to read that slowly… but you’ll get the gist of it all. Nature brings out the good in all of us.
